Voces Intimae wants to restore music to its original transparency, to make the composers’ original intentions evident through sound and phrasing, and to bring to light the historical context of every piece. The choice of the name, Voces Intimae, expresses the group’s aim to enhance the more subtle aspects of the piano trio repertoire by favouring the more subtle undertones, the more understated, and the poignant melancholy of the 19th century.
