In trusted by Goethe Institute, Beijing Eurovista Arts Promotion Co., Ltd. will assist on 22.and 23. Oct. with Goethe Institute to organize the “City and Theatre”- Chinese and German forum on management of theatre in Hubei Wuhan, which belongs to the event series of “Germany – China Moving Ahead Together”. On the occasion tens of theater managers, administrators and experts will be invited to participate in the discussion about five themes about management of theatre.

The event series of “Germany – China Moving Ahead Together” will last for three years, whose initiators are Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany and provincial government of China. “Germany – China Moving Ahead Together” is under the joint patronage of Germany's federal president Horst Köhler and China's president Hu Jintao.

Themes of the forum
The theme of our forum for the theater management is “City- Theater”. What is the relationship, for example, of the theater to the city and to the residents? What means the theater to a city? What measures are effective to attract the attention of the public to the culture? What role do the management, the market and the cooperation in a successful cultural institution play? The further discussion of the theater administrator and experts will center in the following themes: “residents and theater”, “who pays for culture?”, “audience building and theater”, ”product and theater ”, ”cooperation and theater”. The theater here involves the cultural places of all the fields of Performing Arts and the cultural facilities including various scales of theaters and concerts.

Goal of the forum
Goals of the forum are as follows, experience exchange of the top theater management between Germany and China to promote and a constructive partnership to build, which lays a solid foundation for the further international cooperation in theater management, performance events and art education and so on. The forum is to increase our mutual understanding and knowledge and also to promote the co-prosperity and a sound development of the art market of our both countries.
