The first Vienna International Rhythmus Course 2015 in China will beginn soon

The first class of the Vienna International Rhythmus Course in China will set out on 6th July, 2015, traveling to the world best music university, Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts, to participate in the Dalcroze Rhythmus Course.

The course is led by the president of Austrian Professional Association of Rhythm / Music and Movement Education (ÖBR) and the head of department “Music and Movement Education” of the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts - Prof. IRMGARD BANKL. The content of the course is rich and colorful, including trainings of body rhythm and movement, workshops, as well as theoretical lectures about music and movement in the academic fields, feedback seminars about the practice of body rhythm tec. Among these, the basic courses of the body rhythm - courses on “Time, Space & Strength”and “Form & Material”, is the obligatory course of the faculty “Music and Movement education / Rhythm” in the university of Vienna. During the workshops, Prof. Kuter Dreye (from Switzerland), who has a lot of teaching experiences, will give her master class. The Movement and dance education expert - Ms. Elizabeth Oroffski - will lead the workshop of Movement and Dancing. As the highlights of this summer course, the demonstrative course for children will will show the audience  how the rhythm of body influence the children’s development through creative music, movements and language, making children understand and master the meaning of body rhythm more deeply and bringing more presure to the learning process. 

After class, the Chinese participants will visit Czech, Hungary, Austrian and Germany, enjoying the beautiful cultural and natural scenery. The journey includes visit of the famous historical city - Prague, where they appreciate the brilliant cultural treasures with history for thousands of years; travel to the small town Český Krumlov on the Vltava River and enjoying of its poetic charm. The participants will also travel to the southernmost tip of Romantic Road at the foot of the Alps Fulsen, Neuschwanstein, Königssee (The Lake of Keen) and Mozart’s hometown - Salzburg successively and then return to the “Capital of Music” Vienna, following the footprints of famous musicians. It is worth noting that the participants will not only enjoy the magnificent “Bavarian Style” in Munich, but also visit the Orff Research Centre. It has been cooperating with the Bavarian State Library and Carl Orff Foundation for a long time, aiming to promote and give fresh impetus to the study of Carl Orff’s life and works. The participants will learn about the biography and works of this artist in the form of picture and test.
