The 28th International Kodaly Seminar will 
begin soon!






     With the organization of Beijing Eurovista Arts Promotion Co., Ltd and Beijing Kodaly Society Of Beijing Musicians Association (BJKS) the 26th and 27th “International Kodaly Seminar” for national music educators in 2011 and 2013 respectfully had successfully organized. This year, the delegation of 28th International Kodaly Seminar/Kodaly Art Festival will set out on July 18th, 2015, traveling  to Liszt Conservatory of Music in Hungary for a 20-days Study Tour.


    The content of the Study Tour is the training courses for Kodaly pedagogy, which is arranged for the needs of Chinese music teachers, aims to popularize the Kodaly music pedagogy in Chinese music education, enhance the understanding of Kodaly pedagogy among Chinese music educators, increase their competence of using Kodaly pedagogy in practice and broaden their horizon on an international level. It also provides music teachers with the chance to feel the atmosphere of the European music culture, stimulate their own creativity and cultivate themselves.



    The organizer of the course, Kodaly research Institute of Liszt Conservatory of Music, is an authority researching on teaching theory and practice, having a large amount of literature and excellent teachers. It provides international materials and theoretical support for the music educational research work. Since 1970, Kodaly research Institute has been organizing its biannual “International Kodaly Seminar”. It is worth noting that a one week music festival will be added during the 28th Kodaly Seminar this time, which is different from the previous seminars. 

 

    The main teacher of the seminar, Dr. Laszlo Norbert Nemes, is the present director ofthe Kodály Institute of the Liszt Academy and the director of music education faculty of Franz Liszt Conservatory of Music. Graduated in 1992 at Liszt Conservatory of Music, he was the student of the previous director of Kodaly research institute - Professor Péter Erdei. He has won the scholarship of the Republic of Hungary and received his Ph.D. in the University of Alberta, Canada in 1999. He has participated in many courses of international famous conductors, including training of listening and singing, music theories, conducting andscore reading by FriederBernius, Michel Brewer, Eric Ericson, Simon Halsey and Robert Sund. Since 1997, he is the guest conductor of Hungary “Children Broadcast Choir”, member of International Kodaly academy and member of Liszt musical conservatory.

    The seminar is in small class, without Chinese translation. During the study in Kodaly research institute, the participants can use the Reference Room and Library, watch the music festival performances during the seminar. Estimated, the seminar includes vocalization, choir practice, music skills training, choral conducting courses, concerts, watching of demonstration curriculums, early music education, basic music education, children chorus pedagogy and watching of Kodaly Festival concerts. The courses is focused on the primary to seniors training methods, songs accumulation and the ability improvement of chorus guidance.


    After class, the Chinese participants will visit Czech, Hungary, Austrian and Germany and enjoy the beautiful cultural and natural landscape. In the most romantic east European city – Budapest, the capital of Hungary, the delegation will visit the Parliament House, the opera, the Buda Palace and enjoy the beautiful views alongside the Rhine River. In the famous historical city – Prague, the capital of Czech, the delegation will enjoy the brilliant cultural treasures with history for thousands of years. Arriving at the music capital of the world – Vienna, the delegation will visit the museum “House of music”, the golden statue of Strauss; see the Goldener Saal Wiener Musikvereins, Vienna State Opera from outside and visit the "Avenue of Stars", Stefan main church and its square, climb on the Schönbrunn Royal Garden Peak and overlook the beautiful city of Vienna from there. In the hometown of Morzart – Salzburg, the delegation group can enjoy the beautiful scene of this old city and visit the famous Salzkammergut Lakes, Germany's most beautiful scenic resort Königssee (The Lake of Keen) and the southernmost tip of Romantic Road at the foot of the Alps – Neuschwanstein, enjoying the medieval dreamlike atmosphere of the castle and lakes.

    Till now there are students and music educators from many provinces in China enrolled in this event.
